Our Commitment
We have a responsibility to do the right thing – in our business and in the communities where we operate – and to be a responsible corporate citizen. With employees and operations in more than a dozen states, we know that good corporate citizenship is an essential and important responsibility.
Our commitment to corporate responsibility starts at the top of our company and extends to every employee and facility.
In late 2007, we created an Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) Leadership Committee led by executive management to drive sustainable improvements in our ESH performance. And in April 2009, we hired Geoff Sands as vice president of environment, safety and health – a new position – to focus on strengthening our capabilities to protect the environment, safety and health of all employees, contractors, customers and communities where we operate.
Protecting the environment and conserving natural resources are responsibilities we take seriously. We believe that clean-burning natural gas and natural gas liquids can be part of the solution – not part of the problem – when looking at environmental issues. We are environmentally responsible in our day today activities – from securing our natural gas and natural gas liquids supplies from producers; to processing, storing and transporting them; to helping customers use those resources efficiently and wisely.
We have a responsibility – to our shareholders, our employees, their families and the communities where they live and work – to operate our assets safely, efficiently and environmentally responsibly. It’s part of our culture and our 103year history – and will continue to be in the future.
