Environment, Safety & Health
We aspire to be a leader in protecting the environment, safety and health of our employees, contractors, customers and the communities in which our employees live and work. Our Environment, Safety and Health Leadership Committee was formed in late 2007 and charged with strengthening our environment, safety and health capabilities.
The committee is made up of senior management representatives from each business segment to provide leadership and direction for the company’s environmental, safety and health initiatives; and compliance and asset integrity programs, processes and management systems.
The committee has identified five key initiatives that will make sustainable improvements in our ESH performance:

Operations Compliance Management Program – Comprehensive management system that takes a systematic and proactive process approach to compliance.

Emergency Response and Preparedness – Evaluating and improving our existing response plans, implementing best practices and coordinating with other related corporate programs (i.e. Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plans).

Program – Evaluating and improving existing compliance programs and identifying opportunities to minimize our carbon and environmental footprint.

Safety and Health Program – Establishing a safe and compliant culture in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of facilities.

Climate Change Action Team – Providing oversight and review of pending climate changes and greenhouse gas regulatory and legislative proposals.
Action teams of employees from across the company, led by members of the ESH Leadership Committee, are in charge of managing and completing each initiative.
